We Are Number One Piano Sheet Music

In this post we’ll compare two different versions of:

We Are Number One piano sheet music.

An easy version… And a hard version.

(you’ll find links at the end of this post)

We Are Number One is a song from the children’s television series LazyTown.

It was composed by Máni Svavarsson. And it became very popular online, sparking a number of internet memes and funny remixes, in support of the lead singer, Stefán Karl Stefánsson (who played Robbie Rotten on the show).

The song is a lot of fun to play on piano.

So keep reading and I hope this post helps you choose the best sheet music for you.

We Are Number One Piano Sheet Music – Intro

We’ll start by taking a look at the easy intro.

As you can see below, it’s all played with the right hand.

And probably the most complex thing about it is the sixteenth notes in the first bar.

Either that or the key signature…

I know four flats in the key signature used to throw me off as a beginner.

Now the hard version has a similar right hand melody (with some chords added to bars 3 and 4).

While the left hand plays a driving bass line.

You may also notice that this sheet music lists the chord symbols above each harmony change.

And it also includes a lyrics line.

Which is great if you want to sing along!

Now let’s move onto the verse…

We Are Number One Piano Sheet Music – Verse

The easy version verse uses two-note chords in the right hand (first two bars) along with single note melody line.

While the left hand plays a simple bass line.

The hard version does a similar thing, although it uses full triads in the right hand.

The left hand is almost identical between the two versions. I mean the notes are the same, however in the hard version they are notated as staccato… Also, the notes are played an octave lower on the piano.
